Roland DG forms wholly-owned UK subsidiary

The announcement has been made that Roland DG Corporation has established a wholly-owned subsidiary company in United Kingdom. Effective from 1 January 2002, the new company, Roland DG (U.K.) Ltd., encapsulates the sales division of computer peripheral devices of Roland (U.K.) Ltd. (herein after called RUK) and will be independent by 100 percent investment from Roland DG Corporation. RUK is a joint venture of Roland Corporation, which sells electronic musical instruments and computer peripheral devices in the UK.

Increasingly Roland Corporation has considered Europe an important growth area for the technologies involved within the wide-format digital printing, sign-making, 3D and model-making markets. This growth has been driven forward by the diversification of customer demand, and the incorporation of the new company will enhance local networking between Roland, its distributors and its end users.

Roland DG (U.K.) Ltd. will enable specialist expertise in each market area to reach all dealers and end-user channels. Specialist product teams will support customers, offering complete solutions from hardware to software, plus various applications to meet individual needs.
