Roland DG Introduces Heat Transfer Material for VersaCAMM

Hamamatsu, Japan. March 22, 2004. Roland DG Corporation today introduced a new heat transfer material that makes it easy to print, contour cut, and transfer inkjet graphics directly onto T-shirts, hats, jackets, gym bags and other apparel.

Heat Transfer Material is the latest addition to Roland's ECO-SOL Media lineup. The material has been carefully tested, profiled and certified to yield accurate and consistent print results with Roland's ECO-SOL INK and VersaCAMM inkjet printer/cutter. Unlike competitive products, Roland Heat Transfer Material contains no formaldehyde and can be contour cut following printing to any shape desired.

"Roland's Heat Transfer Material is ideal for on-demand production and is, safe for both users and the environment," said Mr. H. Seki, Roland Supplies Developer. "Images are crisp and vivid and display excellent color fastness even after washing and perspiration."

Roland DG designed Heat Transfer Material to be printed and cut without reversing the image. Simply peel the print-cut graphic from the backer and lay it on the garment. Then cover the graphic with an application sheet and transfer it with a heat press at 150 degrees Celsius (302 degrees Fahrenheit). If a matte finish is preferred, cover the heat-transferred graphic with silicon paper and press again at 150 degrees Celsius. Both application film and silicon paper are available from Roland DG.
