6. Environmental Disclosure

Environmental Audits

Based on the standards required for ISO14001 in 2004, field tests are executed by internal audits and an external certification authority to periodically check the effectiveness of the management system.

1. External Audit Results

For 2006, no nonconforming items were found during an integrated (environment / quality) audit performed on December 18th and 19th.

2. Internal Environmental Audit Results

For 2006, an internal audit was performed at each facility (Headquarters, Miyakoda, and Okubo) from November 27th to 29th. One nonconforming item was found in the area of operation management. As a result, the corresponding department corrected this problem immediately and the audit team confirms that it is now in conformance.
