In recent years, we have witnessed the rapid advancement of computer graphics technology and, as a result, creative professionals today are empowered in unprecedented ways. We believe these technologies hold enormous potential for the future and will serve as the foundation for new applications, markets and industries. We are proud to be at the forefront of this technological revolution.

　Historically, Roland DG's digital technology has helped artists, designers and other professionals transform their virtual images and objects into real products, prototypes and works of art. Currently, we remain committed to advancing our Color and 3D product lines with development resources focused on our professional large-format color printers, 3D scanners and modeling machines. The demand for these products is growing at a tremendous rate and Roland DG is emerging as a powerful contender in their respective markets worldwide.

　The company’s mission statement, "Transforming Your Imagination into Reality," has shaped the Roland DG product line since the beginning. One of our earliest successes was the pen plotter, whose commercialization came at an opportune time, when demand for 2D CAD (two-dimensional computer-aided design) was rising rapidly. This product line met with great success in the market and secured the foundation of our business for years to come. Foreseeing changes in market conditions, we worked diligently to refocus our business on the sign, graphics and 3D CAD/CAM industries. In developing each of these businesses, we capitalized on the IT revolution to further advance our technology offerings.

　In the years ahead, our primary objective is to evolve the Roland DG organization from what it is today - a manufacturer of high-performance computer peripherals - into a leading source for cutting-edge digital solutions that bring digital data to life.
